Many-stemmed prostrate perennial, loosely caespitose, flowering stems often sub-simple. Leaves petiolate, blue-green, thickish. cuneate at base, with 3-5 linear blunt lobes at apex. Petals 4-6 x 2-4 mm, obovate, clawed. Fruiting pedicels 4-9 mm. Fruit composed of two inflated thin-walled spheres, 7-10 mm long, 9-13 mm broad and 4.5-6.5 mm wide, usually 4-seeded. sometimes 2-seeded. Ft. 6-8. Alpine rocky slopes and screes, 3100-3650 m.
